At the ‘Sankalp 2024’ event held at Ola Electric's FutureFactory in Tamil Nadu, CEO Bhavish Aggarwal reflected on the company's remarkable growth and milestones. “Three years ago, Ola Electric was just a dream. Today, we have become the largest two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) company in the world," Aggarwal proudly shared, highlighting the company's journey from its humble beginnings to global prominence.
Ola Electric, part of a 14-year-old group, has undergone a significant transformation over the years. Aggarwal emphasised the evolution of the company, stating, “In our 14 years, we have built the number one ride-hailing company and the leading electric vehicle company. We’re now focusing on becoming the top AI company as well.”
Ola Electric's rise has been a key driver in India's EV revolution, and Aggarwal takes pride in being at the forefront. “We are proud to be the first listed EV company in India. This is ground zero of India’s EV revolution,” he remarked. The company now ranks fifth globally in market capitalization among EV companies and fourth in revenue, marking its place on the world stage.
Reflecting on the company’s beginnings, Aggarwal recalled, “We started out of a single room in Mumbai, and look at where we are today.” He credited India’s unique environment of opportunity and innovation for the company’s success. “This achievement is only possible in India, where ambition and innovation can lead to remarkable growth.”
Looking ahead, Aggarwal expressed his determination to continue driving the EV revolution and beyond. “Our Sankalp is to build our future; we cannot leave it to others. We are committed to leading the charge in the EV revolution and beyond, driven by our vision and relentless effort.”
