Swiggy Rolls Out New Feature 'Eatlist' For Easier Food Discovery

With 58 per cent of users seeking assistance in meal selection and 68 per cent relying on peer recommendations, Swiggy aims to streamline the process of discovering and sharing food choices, enhancing convenience and variety for its users

Swiggy, an on-demand convenience platform, rolles out 'Eatlists', a feature in the food delivery industry aimed at transforming how users discover and share food recommendations. This tool allows food enthusiasts to curate and share their favourite dishes directly within the Swiggy app, akin to creating and sharing music playlists.

The introduction of Eatlists addresses common challenges faced by users, including indecision when selecting meals and reliance on multiple platforms for reviews and orders.

With 58 per cent of users seeking assistance in meal selection and 68 per cent relying on peer recommendations, Swiggy aims to streamline the process of discovering and sharing food choices, enhancing convenience and variety for its users.

Key benefits of Eatlists include the ability to create themed lists of favorite dishes for easy browsing, seamless sharing with friends and family via social media platforms, and instant access to curated lists by other users. According to Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy, Eatlists bridges the gap between social media and traditional community-building around food, offering users a platform to showcase their culinary preferences while discovering new favorites curated by fellow food enthusiasts and experts.

Users can start creating Eatlists by bookmarking their favorite dishes within the Swiggy app and organizing them under different themed lists such as "Weekend Treats" or "Healthy Bites". These lists can be shared across social media channels like WhatsApp and Instagram, fostering a more social and interactive approach to meal planning.

The Eatlists feature is now available to Swiggy users, promising to make food discovery more engaging and personalised than ever before.
