TailorZone - Ahmedabad's First Ondemand Stitching Service Provider For Women

TailorZone has introduced a very new service in Ahmedabad that is an online designer boutique cum tailor shop for women. This concept is very new and unique for Ahmedabad females, as here the startup offer a doorstep consulting/stitching service to all women. In this service, user need to simply schedule a pick-up request, and TailorZone’s consultant/tailor will come at your place to understand and consult you on your designing & stitching needs. The company will pick-up your order and finally once the order is completed, it will deliver it back to your place. So in short, women now need not to visit any tailor or boutique shop to stitch their cloths, rather they can access all this service right from their home using TailorZone.

It was founded by Jay Sonavane and Priyanka Brahmbhatt in September, 2015.

How did the idea came to startup TailorZone?

Last Year I face a similar horrifying experience of not able to manage a decent tailor when I was in real need of it. I was planning to attend one of my friend marriage, but since it was a festival season and the heavy rush of order, all Tailors refuse to accept my order. This situation urges me to give it a thought about creating something that can easily reachable, reliable and accessible.

I decided to work on this idea and started gathering all the information about this unorganized sector. While doing this, I was also looking for a teammate who can help me in identifying few answers, which were hard for me to get, when I met Priyanka. I discuss this whole idea with Priyanka Brahmbhatt (co-founder) who was actively involved into fashion and boutique domain with her very own venture Hir Creations. Together we brainstorm and we figured out the possible blue print and prototype for TailorZone.

What are the pain points TailorZone is solving?

We mainly want to come to the rescue of 21st century working women & housewives, the one who has time for everyone except herself. With this service, we want to save their time of finding a decent boutique/tailor and visiting them to and fro for various stitching needs. Along with ease, convenience and time saver, we are also majorly focusing on perfect fitting, user experience and work quality to delight our all customer.

How has been TailorZone journey so far?

We have started our operations in September 2015. Initially we did a 3 months of Piloting from September 2015 to November 2015, just to understand customer behavior and the operational hurdles. We collected those data, we brainstorm it and then we set-up a strong process to address all the hurdles that we faced during our piloting phase. We then officially launched our service in February 2016 starting with Ahmedabad city.

Till date, we have processed around 100 orders with the customer base reaching upto 50. We are slowly and gradually building our footprints within our customer by both Social Media and mouth to mouth publicity. Most of our customer reach upto to us by referral and we usually get repeated order from our existing customers, this way our revenue chain is increasing. Also, we have more than 3 thousand site visits with almost 8.5 thousand page views.

What is the next big thing in pipeline?

Right now our focus is to build a good foothold in Ahmedabad market. And after then we will replicate this model in other major cities of Gujarat like Baroda, Rajkot, Surat, etc. Along with this customized stitching service, we also planning to add few more segments within our service, as we progress further.
