Udacity Partners With Google For Android Developer Program

With recruitment slowing down, IT job seekers are looking to increase eligibility by upskilling themselves with high demand courses in Android development and machine leaning.

With this, Udacity is strengthening its courses in Android given that there is extensive demand from across the country. This has led to the launch of Associate Android Developer Fast Track Program (AAFT).

Udacity, a disruptive learning technologies platform has partnered with Google to introduce this program for intermediate level students. This training program is designed to help students hone their skills to successfully pass the Associate Android Developer Certification Exam launched by Google. With this program, Udacity aims to help students prove their Android development skills and earn certification directly from Google.

Candidates who successfully complete the course will be connected with hiring partners like, Paytm, 1mg, Haptik, UrbanClap, Zomato, DigiTribe, Dailyhunt, Headout and Inshorts, based on the needs of the hiring partners. With this, students/candidates will get a direct and privileged exposure to jobs in this sector.

Ishan Gupta, managing director for Udacity in India said, “As companies race to capitalise on the opportunities of the new mobile economy, there is a huge demand-supply gap for skilled Android developers in the country. Today, students/professionals work towards becoming an entrepreneur, a developer or creator but it is essential that they have the right skills. With this course, we aim to invest in training and enabling individuals to accelerate their journey of growth. We already have seen large number of enrolments in India across android courses on our platform.”

Amit Sinha, senior vice president for Paytm said, “India’s rapidly evolving technology ecosystem has presented a wide range of unique business opportunities for new-age entrepreneurs. While there is a huge potential market, hiring the right talent is still a challenge owing to the dearth of a skilled workforce. Our partnership with Udacity would enable us to further strengthen our talent pool as we move into the next stage of our growth.”
