Vehicle Maintenance Startup MotoMojo Raises Angel Round From Founders Of Ventes Avenues

New age startup MotoMojo which is a first of its kind on-demand Hyperlocal platform for taking care of cars and bike servicing, has raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from the founders of Ventes Aveues, which invest in startups and help them reach their customers. Niloufer Dundh, Fauzan Rahim and Balamurugan Mani, the three co-founders of Ventes Avenues, have invested in their personal capacity.

The startup which started operations in March 2016 has been making quick progress and is getting rave reviews from its customers for the transparency in pricing and quality of service that is being provided.

MotoMojo currently offers services across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane and helps connect customers with reliable and trustworthy garages at affordable prices. With a strong network of over 2500 garages across the city, MotoMojo offers one click booking using the app and also ensures convenience through their “ pickup and drop” services that a customer would truly value. The startup ensure handholding of customer throughout the process which is very essential in category where majority of customer don’t have enough in-depth knowledge about servicing.

Uttam Arjun, the founder of MotoMojo believes that the largely fragmented market of automobile servicing is in dire need of a solution like MotoMojo since the true idea of a reliable service at affordable cost is lost once the sale or purchase of the vehicle is completed.

With a host of service providers catering to regular servicing/maintenance of 2 wheelers/4 wheelers, car wash, denting, polishing and painting apart from emergency services like towing and puncture care, MotoMojo is looking at tapping into this huge market of 192 million vehicles and is set to scale up exponentially.

Uttam, who has earlier worked with FMCG giants such as Hindustan Unilever and Godrej, believes that the customer today is largely disgruntled with the levels of service offered and also the price points and this is where MotoMojo is poised to help a customer discover great service. The app which is available on Google Play is already closing in on nearly 1000 users within the first few days of launching and largely through word of mouth. MotoMojo has very strong team to manage product, backend operation and understanding of automobile. Pranav Kumar is Tech Head, he has done his M.Tech IIT Bombay and prior to joining he has worked with Cisco and Green Life Technologies. Sumit Gaikwad is auto expert in team and he is responsible for channel development & auto expert expertise. Prior to joining MotoMojo, he was Co-Founder of Autocolumn which is portal delivering rich content on automobile industry. He is a graduate in automobile from Pune. Adriel Pereira is operation head. Prior to joining MotoMojo he has worked with Capita for 7 years in operation and 2 years with leading real estate company as business development head.

With this angel round of funding MotoMojo will look at ramping up the product capabilities, marketing and also building on ground support to build excellent customer service.

In the next couple of months, the company will build a service that will create a sustainable business and help customers discover what true service means. The startup has plans to scale up its services across major metros in India over a period of time.

With services such as a door-step Eco Friendly car wash at just Rs.99, this sure looks like a startup that’s set to go places.
