The leading on-demand auto-rickshaw aggregator,
Jugnoo, acquires
SabKuchFresh in a bid to enhance its recently launched grocery delivery service ‘Fatafat’. This acquisition enables Jugnoo to offer a more comprehensive grocery delivery service with improved procedures of procurement, sorting, packaging and quality check of products. Furthermore, the move is corresponding to Jugnoo’s vision of making optimum utilization of resources with auto-rickshaws as its logistic partners, allowing them to make extra bucks when not transporting passengers. The delivery services are currently available for customers in Mohali and Panchkula apart from Chandigarh.
Celebrating company’s successful venture into hyper-local delivery space, Samar Singla, Founder and CEO Jugnoo, commented, “This is a step towards helping the auto drivers to supplement their livelihood through extra earnings. Jugnoo also intends to create a logistics network for the mass market of India and wants to tap the hyper-local delivery service space through best possible routes.”
Inspired by this feat, Jugnoo will soon expand the delivery service to Gurgaon by next month and eventually tap 30 more cities by the end of this year. The launch is a progressive attempt to widen Jugnoo’s customer outreach by tapping consumers beyond its domain, i.e. daily intra-city travelers, leading to a stronger recall value for customers. A separate team has been hired to look into the operations of this new acquisition, which has added to the employee base of the company.
