Crack-ED, an all-inclusive up-skilling platform for preparing college freshers and early professionals introduced its latest initiative aimed at empowering individuals with special abilities by unlocking their full potential through skill enhancement and providing valuable job opportunities.
The first phase of this initiative has been launched in collaboration with Niva Bupa, one of India’s leading health insurance companies. Crack-ED partnered with Viklang Sahara Samiti Delhi – an NGO working for the welfare of the marginalised youth and disabled, and Dr Reddy foundation, Giftabled – to initiate the drive. There was an active participation of more than 30 candidates during the interview process.
Crack-Ed's Founder, Debojit Sen, emphasised that “The initiative to empower specially abled individuals is a natural extension of their overarching mission to enhance employability. The initiative aligns with Crack-ED's commitment to creating meaningful change by addressing the unique challenges faced by them in securing suitable employment opportunities.”
Niva Bupa HR Head Mohit Marwaha, stated, "We continuously strive to enhance our commitment to diversity and inclusion at Niva Bupa Health Insurance. By actively seeking out and welcoming Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) into our workforce, we not only enrich our organisational culture but also tap into a pool of uniquely talented individuals who bring invaluable skills and perspectives to the table. By championing specially abled talent, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster an environment of inclusivity and equality."
As Crack-ED aims to close the gap between the employable and employed through upskilling, this drive is yet another endeavour to make a difference by tackling the issue of unemployability, especially for the overlooked sections of the population. Crack-ED will be organising more such sessions in the future and aims to partner with other corporations to further the cause.
