Leading IT and network security solutions provider
Quick Heal Technologies Limited will be collaborating with Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, also referred to as CERT-In for its ‘Cyber Swachhta Kendra’. CERT-In will be providing Quick Heal’s ‘Bot Removal tool’ free of cost to its users. The indigenously developed tool will continuously monitor the threat landscape for new bots and prevent them from damaging the user’s device by creating an antidote to every bot.
In India, approximately
50 percent of PCs and laptops do not have a security software installed and are hence, exposed to cyberattacks. To address this challenge, Quick Heal has been closely working with CERT-In to develop effective solutions to deal with cyberattacks. CERT-In is the nodal agency responsible for dealing with cyber incidents in the country.
The Cyber Swachhta Kendra is a Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre (BCMAC), inaugurated by Minister of Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad on February 21, 2017. BCMAC is a part of the Government’s Digital India initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
