According to media reports, Info Edge-owned businesses Naukri and 99acres have been removed from the Google Play Store. As of the time of reporting, these apps were no longer accessible on the platform.
However, it's noted that the company's matrimony service, JeevanSathi, remains available for download.
This action by Google is part of its recent initiative to remove apps from Indian developers who have allegedly failed to comply with the tech giant's app billing regulations over an extended period.
As per media reports, Sanjeev Bikchandani, the founder of Info Edge stated that they have been adhering to Google's app policies since February 9, following an interim order by the Supreme Court regarding a case against Google's billing policy.
He further assured that all dues to Google have been promptly settled.
