‘Modello Domani’ which means “The Style Of Tomorrow” was inspired from the launch of a luxury line of loafers in India in 2011. “I was quite fascinated by the trend and reverse engineered the product,” says the 27-year-old entrepreneur who caters to the demands of celebrities like John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Ssumier Pasricha and Gaurang Doshi.

The best offering is the ‘picture to product’ customisation, where a customer can develop any design in the world and share pictures of the shoes they wish to own. Loafers, slip-ons, sneakers, brogues, oxfords and boots, the range differs from daily wear, casual, luxury wear as well as limited edition masterpieces with over 200+ ready-to-wear shoe designs with price points from Rs 2500 to 9500, except limited editions which are 10k+.

What do you think about the business of luxury in India?

The luxury segment in India is booming with more and more brands entering the market. Luxury fits many segments of the society – cars, clothings, bags, shoes, jewellery, etc. Customisation is another way to achieve the same and stand out. We cater and cover both these aspects thoroughly.

What are your expansion plan?

From tying up with e-tail giants like Koovs, Ajio, Flipkart, Myntra, Amazon, to having our products displayed at several boutiques in Delhi and other cities, we have kept in mind that not everyone prefers to go digital in terms of shopping for their shoes. Currently, we are expanding to several other vendors and also launching a women’s line this month, along with accessories and travel sections on the website www.domani.in.

What is the business model of Modello Domani?

Our business model is not limited to just one genre. We intend to be a multi-directional brand and company. From retailing to wholesale to manufacturing and supplies, we plan to cater to all needs related to footwear covering all designs, qualities and price points. A one stop shop for all your requirements.

What is so exquisite about your brand? 

What sets Modello Domani apart is our vision of ‘Happy feet for all’ which caters to all the customers by offering the widest variety in terms of designs, looks, qualities, materials, pure leather, and vegan faux leather styles.

Tell us about your investment plans?

We plan to invest further in increasing our stock production and introducing more styles in the market. We will be getting into exports in 2018 and have a franchise model in place for more physical stores across the country.
