Founded in 2015, Modasta is a brainchild of Bikram Barman, CEO and Co-Founder of Modasta and ex Accenture & Yahoo executive, IIM alumnus Pankaj Pandey, COO and Co-Founder, and Dr. Geethanjali, Chief Content Officer and Co-Founder with over 40 years of cumulative experience in healthcare, technology, social business and entrepreneurship.

Based out of Bangalore, this startup is a comprehensive digital health platform in India which provides credible, trusted and reliable health related, wellness and fitness information created by doctors in English & Regional languages. Modasta has recently also launched their online doctor consultation platform with 500 plus doctors already registered on the platform across specialties.
Indian health-seekers, who were earlier compelled to pursue international health portals like WebMD and Mayo Clinic, will now have an India centric platform as their first point of reference. The platform provides content in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam with plans on the anvil to extend the number of languages. The startup will also be expanding its range of offerings to include Telemedicine in future.

We are the first and the only platform to provide trusted and comprehensive content created by doctors in the Indian context and in regional languages of their choice. Modasta is available on the website as well as on the app (Modasta Health). Currently the contents are available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Malayalam with plans to expand into more languages.

Funding

Raised $1.5 million angel funding from a consortium of Mauritius based HNI Investors. The funds have been strategically allocated for business growth, technology upgradation, talent acquisition and marketing outreach activities.

Modasta would charge a service fee to the Health Service providers for using the platform.
