PE Investments Rise By 61.8% In Q12024

During Q1 2024, angel/seed investment remained the largest category within the PE deal landscape, accounting for 52.6 per cent of the overall deals, while venture capital represented a 26.7 per cent share

India’s Private Equity (PE) landscape saw significant growth in Q42024, with 310 transactions totaling around USD 5.2 billion. This marked the most active quarter since Q42022, with a 61.8 per cent increase in deal value compared to Q1 2023, according to Mazars in India.

Q12024 also witnessed a sharp rise in PE exits, with 50 exits, a 354.5 per cent increase from Q12023. The report highlighted a vibrant PE landscape, showcasing funding in traditional sectors like infrastructure, telecom, healthcare and energy.

During Q1 2024, angel/seed investment remained the largest category within the PE deal landscape, accounting for 52.6 per cent of the overall deals, while venture capital represented a 26.7 per cent share. PE investments grabbed the majority of the overall PE deal value, accounting for a 43.2 per cent share.
