SaaS Firm Dingg Raises Rs 3.5 Cr In Pre-Series A Round

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup Dingg, based in Pune, announced that it had raised Rs 3.5 crore in a pre-series A fundraising round that was led by US venture capital firm Big Sun Ventures.

Other investors who took part in the round included Samir Srivastav, the CEO of Jean Claude Biguine India, Ayaz and Rahim Kabani, the founders of Beauty Essentials, Lalit Keshre, the CEO of Groww, and Rohit Gothi, the CEO of Hero Cycles.

The company intends to use the additional funding to expand its beauty and wellness vertical, enhance automation capabilities, and scale up its sales and marketing operations.

Dingg is a platform that automates salon, spa, and beauty clinic operations. It was founded in 2018. It makes it easier to handle employees and billing for reservations made via all available channels. It claims to have developed a cloud management system aimed at offering automated marketing, customer insights, and inventories.

Similarly, in February, intelligent fleet management and predictive analytics platform Fleetx.io raised pre-Series A funding led by venture capital firm India Quotient and deal-making platform LetsVenture’s angel fund.

Recent months have seen a major increase in investor interest in the software-as-a-service market as more businesses attempt to automate and digitalize their client-facing and internal processes.

A number of investors contributed $1.26 million to the employee performance management platform Dockabl's pre-Series A investment round in June.

In a pre-Series A investment round spearheaded by CBA Capital's Education Catalyst Fund in May, online recruiting company Skillenza collected $1 million.
