Country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the launch of theme based National Hackathon, Automate for Bank 2018 [#A4B2018] in collaboration with Stockroom.io inviting the brightest developers, startups, technologists and students to ideate and build innovate solutions for the bank. The hackathon was launched on 22nd January 2018.
The Hackathon is structured around two interesting themes around automation. The complete process is structured in three phases where the phase 1 would be idea submission; phase two would be prototype building and phase 3 would be Onsite POC. In the phase 1, participants can register their ideas during 22 January 2018 – 11th February 2018 followed by Hackathon phase, which will be live from 20th February 2018 to 04th March 2018. The Hackathon phase winners will be invited for Onsite POC (Proof of Concept) and the winning teams will get an opportunity for incubation and acceleration with SBI along with a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 for each theme.

These National Hackathons/Ideathons have helped us identify innovative ideas/solutions across themes using emerging technologies such as AI/ML/NLP, RPA, Blockchain, IOT, wearable devices. Further, A4B2018 (Automate for Bank) will help us drive engagement with start-‐ups and developers via crowdsourcing of deployable solutions that are Usable, Scalable and Economical.”
