It basically aims to enlarge the base of entrepreneurs and accelerates employment generation and economic development. ED focuses on the individual who wishes to start or expand a business and concentrates more on growth potential and innovation. Also, it provides specific assistance to entrepreneurs and his enterprise so as to enhance his entrepreneurial objectives and accommodate more people to become entrepreneurs as well.
Various attempts have been made to promote and develop entrepreneurship. This time BW Disrupt presents NE8 Startups I Mumbai Edition.
NE8 Startups is an exclusive startup accelerator for Northeast India. NE8 Startups will work towards enhancing entrepreneurship awareness and assisting startups from the region with required resources for scaling up their businesses with proper and thorough mentoring. NE8 Startups, believes in the potential of scalable ventures in NE and of entrepreneurs from the region who are settled in Mumbai I Bangalore I Delhi among other outreach centres.
Currently the working team is headed by Riddhinil Roy, Aman Bajaj & Swapnanil Talukdar.All the 15 other core members: Debashish Kashyap, Anisha Das, Rashmi Sinha, Anisha Chowdhury, Maipaksana Rajkumar, Hmanghaikima among others have previous and ongoing experience in the startup domain.
NE8 Startups as an accelerator for the region, exclusively also will encourage startups from the following genre: Energy, artificial intelligence, biotech, healthcare, fintech, security, media analytics, food and packaging among the ones in demand, in the recent time. The startup accelerator is also look forward to reach out to our target group, especially college students with the help of partner institutions (government and private) to help impart entrepreneurship development and related assistance training.In regard to government based funds, they are interacting closely with the government, ministries at both central and state level, in this region and trying to help the masses know and utilise government funds for their projects/startups with thorough ideation-execution roadmap.
