Swiggy has unveiled its International Logins feature, enabling users from 27 countries, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and the United Arab Emirate, to order food, shop from its quick commerce service Instamart, and reserve tables at restaurants in India. The decision was made in a press release today, coinciding with the festive season.
Users can now log in with their international phone numbers and make payments using international credit cards or available UPI options. This functionality grants them access to Swiggy's full suite of services, including food delivery, dine-out, Genie, and Instamart.
“Food and gifts are essential to family gatherings, especially during festivals. With International Login, those living abroad can now surprise their loved ones on special occasions,” stated Phani Kishan, Co-founder, Swiggy.
This feature has been a long-requested addition by non-resident Indians (NRIs), and Swiggy plans to roll out a new gifting layout to streamline the process of sending festive gifts and making dinner reservations back home.
Founded in 2014, Swiggy currently partners with nearly 200,000 restaurants across over 600 cities in India. Instamart operates in 43 cities, delivering groceries and essentials in about 10 minutes.
