VC Firm RTP Global Leads $4.2 Mn Pre-seed Round Investment In Budy
The fresh funding will be utilized to accelerate the training and development of Budy’s core AI skills
Budy.bot, an AI-driven startup raised USD 4.2 million in pre-seed funding. This funding round was led by RTP Global and included participation from leading investors such as BeeNext Pte Ltd, The Neon Fund, BITS SPARK Angels and a distinguished group of over 15 Angel investors. Notable Angels include Raju Reddy; Abhinav Asthana, CEO & Co-founder of Postman; John Hayes, Co-founder of Pure Storage; Bruno Kurtic, Co-founder of Sumo Logic and past executives of GreyOrange, among others.
The funding reflects strong investor confidence in Samay Kohli, Budy's Founder and CEO. Samay has a remarkable history of building cutting-edge companies, having co-founded GreyOrange Inc., a leader in AI-driven software and robotics systems that are used for automating supply chain operations and warehouse fulfillment by Fortune 100 companies such as Walmart, Nike, H&M, GAP to name a few. The early confidence and backing from investors underscores the potential of Budy's AI system and Samay's proven track record of building innovative technologies and supporting global customers to transform their current businesses multifold.
The $4.2 million pre-seed funding will be utilized to accelerate the training and development of Budy’s core AI skills. The company is currently working with select enterprise customers as part of its design partnership to solve certain high impact use cases such as -
re-setting Salesforce for the current stage of the company while maintaining the data
increasing lead conversion rates by identifying & plugging leakages in the sales & marketing pipeline,
increasing revenue & cash forecasting by introducing a bottom up forecasting model.
Drawing from Samay’s personal experience in scaling go-to-market processes from $0 to $100 million in ARR, Budy is currently targeting growth-stage companies with $25–$200 million in annual revenue. These companies often face unexpected challenges when setting up critical systems and processes for the first time, like forecasting or optimizing sales motions during periods of growth. Rather than simplifying operations, many CEOs and CxOs find themselves layering additional software on top of existing systems, which inadvertently complicates scaling efforts. Budy seeks to address this by offering a streamlined solution that makes scaling operationally easier, not harder.
