Vivo Nex A, Nex S India Launch Slated For 19 July
Vivo has announced the launch of their all screen smartphones Vivo Nex A and Nex S in India. Vivo Nex India launch is slated for July 19. Earlier this month, Chinese smartphone brand Vivo recently launched Vivo Nex in their domestic market.
What makes Vivo Nex unique is its design, where every other brand is copying iPhone X’s notch design (well Vivo did it too with V9), Vivo has found a way to offer a true all screen phone which has a pop-selfie camera.
All thanks to the new design, Vivo Nex features a massive 6.59-inches with 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio. That’s not it, Vivo Nex is packed with arguable the fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, in-display fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
At MWC 2018, the Chinese mobile company unveiled the concept phone Vivo Apex which surprised everyone with its impressive design. Now the handset maker is bringing Vivo Apex to the masses by rebranding it as Vivo Nex.
Vivo Nex A, Nex S Price
In China, Vivo has launched two Nex models Nex A and Nex S, which come with different chipsets.
The high-end Vivo Nex S is priced at CNY 4,498 (roughly Rs 47,380) for 128GB variant and CNY 4,998 (roughly Rs 52,643) for 256GB storage variant.
On the other hand, the cheaper Vivo Nex A model costs 3,898 (roughly Rs 41,060). Apart from their chipsets, both phones get same features. The new Vivo mobiles are available in two colours- ruby red and diamond black.

Vivo Nex A, Nex S Specifications
Vivo Nex handsets have a massive 6.59-inches full HD+ (2316x1080) Super AMOLED display with 19.3:9 ratio and 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio. Another major addition to Vivo Nex is in-display fingerprint sensor similar to Vivo X21. Both handsets measures 162 x 77 x 7.98mm and weighs 199 grams.
Vivo Nex A comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The high-end and expensive Vivo Nex S model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core processor, coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage options. Most importantly, Vivo Nex gets a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Both Vivo Nex phones run on FuntouchOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and are backed by a powerful 4,000mAh battery. It sports a dual camera setup at the rear which includes 12-MP+5-MP sensors with 4-axis OIS, AI scene recognition, AI filters and dual LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel retractable camera which pops out from the top.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Location.
