Quick commerce platform Blinkit has officially entered Jammu, launching operations with three stores to cater to the city’s growing demand for rapid deliveries. The Zomato-owned company announced the expansion on Sunday, with services now available in key areas such as Trikuta Nagar, Roop Nagar, and Akhnoor Road.
“We are excited to serve customers in this region and bring our promise of quick and reliable deliveries to their doorsteps,” said Albinder Dhindsa, Founder and CEO of Blinkit, in a LinkedIn post.
The Trikuta Nagar store will serve nearby localities, including Preet Nagar and Railhead Road. Meanwhile, the Roop Nagar store will cover Durga Nagar and Bhawaninagar, and the Akhnoor Road outlet will cater to Shakti Nagar and Rehari Colony.
This move comes amidst intensifying competition in the quick commerce sector, with Blinkit vying against rivals Zepto and Swiggy Instamart for market dominance.
Earlier in December, Blinkit appointed Vipin Kapooria, a former Vice President at Flipkart, as its Chief Financial Officer, signaling the company’s commitment to bolstering its financial strategy and scaling operations.
