Cloud Telephony Startup Cloudrino In Talks With RAIN For Seed RoundKoonk Technologies Pvt. Ltd. owned cloud technology startup, Cloudrino is in an advanced stage of talks with investors for a seed investment round led by angel investor Ajay Data and Rajasthan Angel Investment Network (RAIN).
The new capital will be utilised for technology and talent acquisition. The deal is likely to be finalised by next month. The funding amount is still undisclosed by the company.
Founded in 2011 by Tarusha Mittal and Mohit Madan, Cloudrino is a cloud IaaS (infrastructure as a service) platform which allows users to set up and manage servers. These cloud servers can be used for web/app hosting, storage and backup, or to manage third party servers, as well.
The startup has data centres in New Delhi, Pune, Melbourne (Australia) and North Carolina (United States) and the company is mentored by angel investor Ajeet Khurana.
Restaurant Food Pre-ordering App Zeppery Decides to Shut ShopDelhi-based startup Inweone Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs Zeppery, a mobile app that allows users to pre-order food at restaurants and other food outlets and thus avoid long queues has decided to shut shop. The company started its operations around six months back and had tied up with a number of food outlets such as Haldiram’s, Bikanervala and Moti Mahal, among others.
The startup was trying to copy, Tapingo, a US-based startup, but realised that this model is too early for the Indian market and the customer retention costs were too high. It has, therefore, decided to move on. Delhi-based startup was founded in 2015 by Utkarsh Srivastava and Lalit Vijay.
Online Apparel Rental Platform Klozee Shuts Down, Co-founders Join Home Decor Marketplace LivspaceBangalore-based Humble Egg Technologies Pvt. Ltd. which owned online apparel rental platform Klozee has shut down and its Co-founders have now joined home decor marketplace Livspace. Klozee was Co-founded by Aman Haji, Pratik Moona, and Prashant Jain, secured an undisclosed amount in seed funding from startup incubator TracxnLabs and other unnamed investors in August 2015.
Recent deals in this space include, ethnic products marketplace Craftsvilla acqui-hired women clothing rental platform F2SO4 last month and Revamp My Closet, a portal that facilitated buying and selling of used clothes, accessories and bags for women, was also acqui-hired by Spoyl, another online platform for buying and selling fashion wear for women.
Edtech Startup FitKids Buys Mumbai Based ThinkLABSBangalore-based edtech startup FitKids has acquired ThinkLABS Technosolutions for an undisclosed amount in an all cash deal. Post acquisition, the team from ThinkLABS will continue to operate independently, under the ThinkLABS umbrella that will also now include the DiscoverEd program.
ThinkLABS was founded in 2006 by an IIT-alumnus Gagan Goyal, it instills scientific temper in school students through innovative programs and prepares college students for careers in embedded systems and robotics.
Founded in 2010 by Dev Roy, FitKids provides complete solutions in Sports & Physical Education, Creative Movement, S.T.E.M. and Career Counselling for children from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
