Gone are the days when promotion meant putting up banners in the city, now advertising is used as a wide concept which includes promoting your brand to people’s doorsteps. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have already been flourishing with so many business promotions. Youtube was launched in 2006 by 3 former paypal employees, which now is a source of income for so many youtube enthusiasts. It is basically a platform where users can upload or view videos, like and comment and also share. Unlike vine which allows us to upload 6 sec videos, you can upload videos till 15 minutes but for longer you need to verify your account. Many businesses are using this platform to advertise themselves, here are 5 ways how you can do that:

1. Do Your Research

Before attempting to shoot and upload videos, know your audience. It’s better to hire social media savvy people for this particular marketing strategy. You need to spend time knowing what kind of videos work and attract maximum number of views, most of the time they are funny, useful or weird videos. Successful youtubers know how to make themselves brands; since your company is already a brand you won’t need to face that step. It’s important to establish a following which best suits your brand, search for videos in your market interest. Evaluate what stood out in the whole video, check things like tags, links, description box etc. Be acquainted of what and how your business needs to be promoted before actually uploading a video.

2. Customization And Improvisation


Before uploading videos, customize your channel with a profile picture, include some info about you and links to your site and social media pages. Add an attractive thumbnail to your profile, most users judge the account on how good the DP or background picture is so be on point. Including videos on your website could improve your weighting in Google's search engine so that people doing a Google search are more likely to find your website. You can help people find your videos by tagging them with keywords that people are likely to use when they are searching for the content you are presenting. Think about the words people might use in a browser search, and use these words as keywords in your video. Also add multiple call to actions for example: Share this video, download the song in the video, share to your friends, subscribe to my channel etc.

5. Invest In Quality Equipment

Videos are of no use if they’re not of A-class quality. Most users will switch to the next video if yours isn’t appealing. Buy good dslr cameras and recruit professional help for shooting videos.
