Hitesh Gossain comes with 14+ years of rich experience in P&L leadership, general management, strategic business expansion and M&A. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Hitesh was the recipient of the prestigious “IIM Ahmedabad Award of Academic Merit”.

Having worked across the globe; he has extensive experience in spearheading strategy in blue chip corporations in segments like IT, FMCG, Metals, consulting services, supply chain and consumer goods. It all started when I was managing sponsorships for the events at IIM Ahmedabad and realised that despite me being from one of the most premier institutes of India - it was a challenge. When I took a job and was on other side - realised sourcing of sponsorships is a equally big challenge. Hence a perfect opportunity to create a responsive marketplace based on information arbitrage and knowledge enhancement

Differentiation Factors

Everything about Onspon is on a freemium model. We only charge money when there is a real value delivery taking place. We handhold both the buyer and seller to create a fantastic mutual value- hence almost all our users have consistently used our platform month on month - year on year

Funding and Monetization

We have raised an angel round with some key individual investors and angel network. We plan to invest a lot in technology depth - for automation of decision making by deep data , machine learning and predictive mechanisms. We plan to raise a follow on funding post our new tech platform goes live.

As it's a freemium model, we charge for our value added services and facilitation fee on actual execution. We do not charge brands anything. It's a win-win model for all stakeholders including brands , their agencies and events.

Challenges Faced

As we are trying to disrupt a very archaic media sales setup, there was a lot of resistance by the agencies who are brand custodians on media procurement decisions. Event sponsorships happen to be non-traditional media. Here my experience of working with one of the biggest EMC organisations came handy and we created a structure where agencies benefit tremendously from our algorithms and use it to recommend their clients the best partnership opportunities - which as almost impossible earlier.

10,000+ events, 450+ brands, More than 35Cr worth sponsorships facilitated within the first year of platform.

Market Size And Opportunity

IEG pegs India market at USD 4.5 Bn. We plan to address the biggest chunk of this which is sports, entertainment, education, conferences and exhibitions - which is at about 80% of the same.
