Pioneers In AI-Based Learning

BriBooks allows students to create, edit and publish their own books, thereby nurturing creativity and a love for learning

BriBooks, an innovative educational technology platform, is revolutionising the way children engage with literacy by empowering them to become authors. Through its user-friendly interface, BriBooks allows students to create, edit and publish their books, thereby nurturing creativity and a love for learning. The platform partners with schools, educators and students, providing a unique learning experience that emphasises storytelling and content creation.

Under the leadership of Co-founder and CEO, Rahul Ranjan, BriBooks has grown into a global entity with a presence in North America, India, the United Kingdom and some   emerging markets. While the company intends to strengthen its presence in India, it also looks towards new markets in South Asia and Australia. "This year is all about expansion," says Ranjan.

Ranjan envisions expansive growth for BriBooks, in terms of both conquering new geographies and increasing profitability. Already, BriBooks has become financially viable and has been profitable over the last two years.

“Our generative AI-based writing assistant was trained on one billion words using Amazon SageMaker. It is trained so well that it has made writing fun, easy, and intuitive for kids,” says Ranjan. With the ability to assist thousands of children simultaneously, the AI tool ensures that BriBooks is able to scale up its operations effectively and provide a personalised experience to each student.

Apart from providing an exciting learning tool, BriBooks is also helping shape the future of the tech industry by offering real-world skills like writing and publishing to students. This focus on skills development aligns with a larger trend in the startup ecosystem. When asked about the broader landscape of startups in India, he emphasises that the industry is entering a phase of consolidation, especially as companies shift their focus from high-income groups to the wider Bharat market.

“I think we are seeing a very strong phase of consolidation, and the startups that are coming up now will start moving towards the Bharat side of startups,” Ranjan says. He also highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a crucial role in the growth of sectors such as education and FinTech, setting the stage for further innovation.

Despite challenges in the startup ecosystem, BriBooks remains on a strong upward trajectory. The company, headquartered in Singapore, has ambitious goals for the future. “Five years down the line, we would be looking at an ARR [annual recurring revenue] of about $100 million for sure,” says Ranjan, adding that an initial public offering is also on the horizon.

As BriBooks continues its rapid expansion, it is well-positioned to transform the way children learn, write and publish, making education both engaging and interactive on a global scale.
